Doctor Alex Hashemi-Toroghi grew up in Ames, Iowa, and attended Iowa State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biology and served as President of Iowa State University’s Pre-Dental Club.

Doctor Alex then matriculated to the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

He earned his fellowship in implant surgery at Implant Pathway in Gilbert, Arizona, and is licensed to practice dentistry in the states of Iowa, Arizona, and Utah.

He has undergone formal IV sedation anesthesia training through Western Surgical and Sedation in Salt Lake City and Murray Utah, where he earned his IV sedation certification and is licensed to practice oral and IV sedation anesthesia in the state of Iowa.

Dr. Alex’s clinical focus spans the full range of acute emergency and transformative dental care. He treats severe toothaches, tooth infections, facial swellings and complex jaw infections requiring IV antibiotics and surgical intervention, dental trauma in both adults and children, and impacted wisdom tooth surgery under sedation. He specializes in All-on-X full-arch implant dentistry — including teeth-in-a-day procedures — as well as snap-on implant dentures, single tooth implants, and comprehensive implant surgery. His practice also incorporates patient-derived platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) for natural regeneration in dental surgery and facial rejuvenation, hard and soft tissue cosmetic surgery, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and all forms of sedation anesthesia — oral, nitrous, and IV. Underlying every procedure is a commitment to thorough diagnosis, careful pharmacology, and uncompromising patient safety.
